PLEASE NOTE: For the month of April we will serve ONLY:

  • The Elderly - All adult members in the household must be 65 years or older.
  • Life Threatening Crisis - If your services are disconnected or about to be disconnected and you have a life threatening statement from a medical professional.
  • The Homebound - All household members must have a medically verifiable disability confining them to the home.

If you do not qualify under the aforementioned criteria, please check back on May 1st when appointments for the General Population will be available.

After you make an appointment, please submit a current gas AND electricity bill (less than 30 days old) and a copy of the ID’s, income documents, and Social Security Cards for all members of the household ages 18+. Drop the documents off on Tues. or Thurs. between 9 am and 4 pm , or you may drop them in the drop box 24 hours a day. We will not call unless there is an issue. Questions - 404-363-0575.

If your power has been disconnected, make an appointment and then immediately contact our office via email at or Place Service Disconnected in the subject line.

If your service has been disconnected and there are no appointment slot left, contact our office via email at or Place “Service Disconnected” in the subject line.

An application made for service does not guarantee approval. YOU MUST QUALIFY TO APPLY.

List of Documents Needed:

You will be required to provide copies of the following documents and mail them to our office. You will be given a deadline to submit your documentation.

  • Driver's License or Government Issued Picture Identification for Applicant (click here for list of approved identifications and Proof of Citizenship Status)
  • Household Income showing CURRENT GROSS income for the last 30 days for ALL household members 18 years and older (click here for examples of income documents)
  • Original Social Security Cards for all household members (may use Social Security Letter is complete Social Security Number is visible)
  • Most current gas AND electric bill (MUST be dated within the last 30 days)

Please note after reviewing your documents we may request additional information to complete your application.

Within minutes of making your appointment, you should receive a confirmation email with a calendar appointment attached to the email.

A Homebound Household contains no person(s) able to travel to an intake center and apply for Energy Assistance because of a medical condition which currently qualifies the person for home services through Medicaid or Medicare, and/or currently receives home delivered meals, home - health agency services, or homemaker services or who has disabilities confining the residents to the home.
